Wedding: Lomax-Sides

Amy Elizabeth Lomax and Christopher Glenn Sides, both of Athens, were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony Sept. 17 at Founders Hall at Athens State University with Kasey Harbin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Curtis and Phyllis Lomax of Athens. She is the granddaughter of Gayle Ball and Mary Alice Lomax, both of Athens, and the late James Lee Woodward and James L. Lomax.

The groom is the son of Ella Ree Sides of Athens and the late Bobby Lee Sides. He is the grandson of the late Hazen Leon and Lue Ella White of Rogersville and Earl B. and Rosa Mae Sides of Athens.

The bride was given in marriage by her father Curtis Lomax.

Matron of honor was Amanda Ciampa, sister of the bride. Bridal attendants were April Ridgeway, Jessica Raley, Loren Fielder and Holly Huggins.

Michael Bryan Sides, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Christopher, Alex Nafe, Jamie Nichols and Matt Hardymon.

The ringbearer was Braden Ciampa, nephew of the bride.

Music was provided by Justin Miller. 

The guest register was kept by Madeline Misterka, cousin of the bride.

A reception followed the ceremony at Founders Hall Parlor.

Servers were Stacey Besherse, Heather Townsend, Emily Banta, Joan Fisk and Shelia Chatham.

After a wedding trip to Savannah, Ga., the couple returned home to Athens.
