Charles Stanford

Charles David Stanford, 67, of Prospect, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, Tenn.

Mr. Stanford was the son of James and Clara Appleton Stanford. He was a retired welder at General Motors.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in Pulaski. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Prospect United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state from 10 a.m. until funeral time at the church. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Prospect United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Clara A. Stanford of Elkmont; wife, Elizabeth Stanford of Prospect; daughters, Camie and her husband Robert Erwin Jr., of Prospect, Margaret and her husband Mark Palmer of Hartselle; brothers, Phillip Stanford of Athens, Allen Stanford of Taft, Tenn., Randy Stanford of Elkmont; grandchildren, David and Mary Kaine Erwin, Amy and John Mark Palmer, and Elizabeth Persinger.

Carr & Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
