HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) Huntsville police are probing an attempted robbery that left one man shot.

Police told The Huntsville Times that they were called to an apartment complex Tuesday night for a reported shooting. They found a man in his 20s who was wounded in the shoulder.

The victim told investigators that he was approached by a man who demanded money. The assailant then fired and fled on foot.

The victim’s name was not immediately released.
