A boiler breakdown that closed the Athens-Limestone Public Library last Thursday has been repaired
Sandy McNeal of the library said the facility reopened at 1 p.m. on Monday, but the temperature never rose above 56 degrees.
Library officials feared that a replacement part for the heating system would have to be ordered from Tennessee, but McNeal said a repairman found a 40-year-old part in his shop that would fix the problem.
