Geral LeMay

The funeral for Geral Lee LeMay, 76, of Athens was Sunday, December 26, 2010, at New Georgia Church of Christ with Steve Cline and Odis Duncan officiating. Burial followed at Hooie Beddingfield Cemetery.

Mr. LeMay died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

He was born Dec. 4, 1934, in Lauderdale County. He was a member of New Georgia Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Otis Marion LeMay and Leon Noel Prickett LeMay; two brothers, Lellon LeMay and Veron LeMay; and two sisters, Pauline LeMay and an infant sister.

Survivors include: five nieces, Michelle Belue and Cindy Davis, both of Rogersville, Leslie LeMay of Lakeland, Tenn., Cathy Trotter and Kim Duncan, both of Athens; two nephews, Tommy LeMay and Tim LeMay, both of Rogersville; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth LeMay of Lakeland, Tenn.

Pallbearers were Doyce Richardson, Ralph “Tooter” Bates, Greg Belue, Johnny Davis, Tim LeMay, Tommy LeMay and Zak Trotter.

Special thanks go to the Doyce Richardson family and to New Georgia Church of Christ for all love and kindness shown to him over the years. Also to all friends at the Athens Convalescent Center.
