Wedding: Forsythe-Tate

Brooke Ashleigh Tate and Gregory Wayne Forsythe, both of Athens, were married in a 2 p.m. ceremony Oct. 24, at Lake Guntersville Lodge with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of James Tate and Karen Johnson of Athens.  She is the granddaughter of Jim Tate of Rogersville, Christine Medckie of Rome, Ga., and James and Elnora Johnson of Huntsville.

The groom is the son of Wayne and Shirley Forsythe of Athens. He is the grandson of Marie Forsythe of Athens and Mildred Phillips of Anderson and the late Jack Forsythe and John “Buddy” Lewis.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother.

The maid of honor was Erika Fair.

Flower girl was Lacey Doughton-Johnson.

Spencer Tate served as best man.

The ringbearer was Ramsey Doughton-Johnson.

The guest register was kept by Kimberly Eastep.

A reception followed the ceremony in the Goldenrod Room at Lake Guntersville Lodge.

After a 10-day Eastern Caribbean cruise, the couple returned to Spring Hill, Tenn.
