Josephine and Charles Jackson

Charles and Josephine Jackson of Athens will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 16 at Tabernacle Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Athens. Family will host the celebration.

Mr. and Mrs. Jackson were married Oct. 20, 1950, in Iuka, Miss.

They have four children Dennis Jackson and wife Portia of Athens, Darry Jackson and wife Mary of Lexington, Tanya Hancock and husband Rod of Scottsboro, and Lagatha Pylant and husband Roger  of Athens; and seven grandchildren, Jason Pylant of Athens, Brandon Pylant of Eva, Derrick Pylant of Cullman, Patrick Jackson and Sarah Jackson, both of Athens, Taryn Hancock of Scottsboro and Hannah Jackson of Ozark.
