Limestone school board approves supplemental pay, personnel

The Limestone County school board approved supplemental pay for coaches and advisers, and other personnel items during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday. Here is a list of what was approved:
• Contracts for Carrie Amerson, homebound teacher; Terrance Galloway, special education homebound teacher; Dena Redding, special education parent transportation; Walter Rich, special education parent transportation; Laura Root, special education homebound teacher; Kelli Southard, special education homebound teacher; Riley Waide, special education homebound teacher; Sharon Wallace, special education homebound teacher; Huntsville Hospital Auditory, verbal therapy services; Kelly Fields, non-employee football assistant coach at Ardmore High School; Heath Marks, non-employee girls basketball assistant coach at Clements High School; Redus Moran, non-employee baseball assistant coach at Tanner High School; Colton Hill, non-employee baseball assistant coach at West Limestone High School; Mitch McCormick, non-employee football assistant coach at West Limestone; Jud Meadows, non-employee boys basketball assistant coach at West Limestone; Brandon Wallace, non-employee football/softball assistant coach at West Limestone; Deana Hollaway, special education student testing.
• New personnel for the 2010-2011 school year, including Clarissa Glanton, elementary teacher at Blue Springs Elementary School, retroactive to Aug. 9 for the rest the 2010-11 school year only; Rebecca Butler, special education inclusion assistant at Cedar Hill Elementary School, retroactive to Aug. 9 for the rest of the 2010-11 school year only; Melinda Haynes, special education inclusion assistant at Creekside Elementary School, retroactive to Aug. 9; Lisa Sanders, CNP worker/assistant at East Limestone High School, effective Sept. 8; Richie Thompson, ISS/attendance aide at East Limestone, effective Sept. 8; Tonya Barnett, elementary teacher at Johnson Elementary School, retroactive to Aug. 9 for the rest of the 2010-11 school year only; Amanda Strain, Title I instructional assistant at Owens Elementary School, effective Sept. 8; Penny Vincent, elementary teacher at Owens, retroactive to Aug. 9 for the rest of the 2010-11 school year only.
• Extended leave of absence for Carolyn Isbell, CNP worker/assistant at Ardmore for 2010-11school year only.
• Leaves of absence for Kasey Beaty, library assistant at Ardmore effective Sept. 20 through approximately Feb. 11; April Pollard, collaborative teacher at East Limestone effective Sept. 7 for approximately eight weeks under Family Medical Leave Act; Lorel Pope, CNP worker/assistant at Tanner retroactive to Aug. 3 through approximately Sept. 15; Jenny Simpson, English teacher at West Limestone retroactive to Aug. 10 for approximately two months under FMLA.
• Substitutes Kristen Gatlin for a CNP worker/assistant at East Limestone, retroactive to Aug. through Sept. 10, and Shawnta Gray for language arts teacher at East Limestone, retroactive to Aug. 17 for approximately six weeks.
