NAUVOO, Ala. (AP) — Walker County authorities are investigating the death of a Jasper teenager who died after falling from a vehicle in Nauvoo.

Walker County Sheriff John Mark Tirey says 19-year-old Jacob Scott Williams was pronounced dead by Coroner J.C. Poe Tuesday evening.

Officials say witnesses told them Williams pulled his vehicle behind another vehicle at a stop sign and got out and approached the other driver. There’s no information on whether a confrontation took place.

Tirey says an autopsy is being performed.
