Erica Lynne Pezent of Jackson and Ryan Steven Murphy of Athens were married in 5:30 p.m. ceremony May 29 at Rosewood in Pinson with Rev. Travis Seagle, the bride’s friend, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Lee and Judy Boykin and Warner and Terry Pezent, all of Jackson. Her grandparents are Eula Dee Fendley and Aileen Pezent and the late Marvin Fendley and James Pezent.

The groom is the son of Mark and Sherry Murphy of Athens. His grandparents are Patricia Holt and the late Charles Holt and Glenn Murphy.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father.

The maid of honor was Ginger McEvoy, sister of the bride. Bridal attendants were Carrie Bailey, friend of the bride, Carly Edwards, friend of the bride, and Allison Murphy, sister of the groom. Reader was Tiffany Richburg, step-sister of the bride.

The flower girl was Carly Major.

The best man was Mark Murphy, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Chad Greenhaw, cousin of the groom, Clay Stroud, friend of the groom, and Tim Mize, friend of the groom. Reader was Craig Hyde, friend of the groom.

The  ring bearer was Bailey Davis.

Music was provided by Soundwave Entertainment.

The guest register was kept by Anna Adams, cousin of the groom.

A reception followed at Rosewood.

After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple returned home to Trussville.
