Clements boys take 2nd, girls 3rd at Shoals meet

The Clements High boys’ track team placed second while the girls team place third at the Don Heidorn Invitational Meet earlier this week.
Roger Good earned first in the 800 meter run, 1600 meter run and 3200 meter run, as well as the 4×800 meter relay team made up of Good, Robert Altgilbers, Bronson Warren and Garrett Browning.
Second place was taken by Scott Chapman in the 400 meter dash, Browning in the 800 meter run and also the 4×400 meter relay team made up of Chapman, Warren, Altgilbers and Browning.
Placing third were Scott Chapman in the 200 meter dash, James Billiter for shot put and discus throw, Levi Moss in the javelin throw, the 4×100 meter relay team made up of Brandon Sanderfer, Chapman, Tre Washington and Lamac Askins, and the 4×800 meter relay team of Chris Colwell, Ben Gilbert, Zach Hoffman and Ethan Burt.

On the girls side, Alison Jay won first place in the 800 meter run. Second place winners were Jessica Petty in the 200 meter dash; Jay in the 1600 meter run; the 4×400 meter relay team made up of Bridgette Warren, Cynetria Malone, Tailar Whittmus and Paris Branner; the 4×800 meter relay team made up of Warren, Bailee Clounch, Branner and Jay. Cora Browning also placed second in the 3200 meter run.

Petty placed third in the 100 meter dash and long jump, followed by Branner in the 800 meter run and the 4×800 meter relay team made up of Lindsay Adams, Browning, Heather Hammonds and Rebecca Holland.

The Clements boys’ team place second overall while the girls’ team place fourth.
