The funeral service for Lee Roy Brooks, 71, of Elkmont will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Spry Funeral Home with Jason Pylant officiating. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Mr. Brooks was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Roberta Brooks; and brother, Junior Lee Brooks.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Brooks of Elkmont; sons, Randy Brooks of Pulaski, Tenn., Mark Brooks and wife Sherry, and Harold Davis and wife Sherry, all of Athens; daughters, Patty Powers and husband David of Tanner, and Leanne Winsett and husband Jason of Elkmont; brothers, Johnny Brooks and George Brooks, both of Pulaski; sister, Mary Dean Patterson of Pulaski; grandchildren, Dylan Davis, Colton Davis, Brooklyn Davis, Katy Winsett, Summer Pylant, Alex Brooks, Marcie Brooks, Haley Campbell, Amanda Griffin, Kristy Poole, Melanie Griffin and Ryan Powers; great-granddaughter, Willow Fulton.

Pallbearers will be Bill Black, Charlie Geist, Dusty Meadows, Andy Poole, David Powers, Clay Turner, Chris Smith and Jason Winsett.
