The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Karen Denise Blankenship, 37, of 23270 Elkton Road, Athens, public intoxication

• Crystal Dawn Garrison, 36, of 1610 Waterloo Road, Russellville, public intoxication

• Anthony Brian Lawrence, 34, of 22109 New Garden Road, Elkmont, five counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Nicholas Antonio Love, 31, of 417 Eighth St., Decatur, harassment

• Gerald Winfred Maxwell, 47, of 1808 Wadsworth St. S.E., Decatur, two counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Monico Laia Pinales, 44, of 27623 Jennings Chapel Road, Toney, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Keith Elmo Taylor, 41, of 22369 Smith Road, Athens, child support





County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• 52-inch television, 19-inch television, pressure washer, generator, paint sprayer and cordless tools, total value $3,600, stolen during burglary Saturday or Sunday in 16000 block Davis Road

• 50-inch flat-screen television and a Springfield brand 45-caliber handgun stolen, and a door damaged, total value $2,800, Friday during burglary in 21000 block Oakland Meadows Road

• 42-inch flat-screen television and Sony brand PlayStation with games, total value $2,460, stolen Saturday from 13000 Parker Road

• Jewelry, cigarettes and cigars, total value $2,000, stolen Friday or Saturday during burglary at Jeff’s Mini Mart at 18461 Alabama 99

• Clothing, toys, video games and makeup, total value $1,479, stolen Sunday from vehicle in parking lot of Limestone Flea Market off U.S. 72 East

• Air compressor, router, sander, nail gun and impact wrench, total value $1,030, stolen from 9400 block U.S. 72

• Two car ramps valued at $50 stolen between Dec. 15 and Sunday from 12000 block Snake Road

• Clothing of undetermined value stolen during burglary between Dec. 15 and Saturday in 19000 block Laughmiller Road



City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Karen Denise Blankenship, 37, of 400 W. Elm St., Athens, public intoxication

• Domingo Castro Gutierrez, 25, of 915 Fifth Ave., Athens, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Nicholas Antonio Love, 31, of 417 Eighth St., Decatur, harassment

• Vincent Oneal Scales, 28, of 18119 N. Jefferson St., Athens, driving under the influence, running a stop sign, resisting arrest and driving while revoked

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• Purse, 100 Bontril pills, Social Security cards and Alabama driver’s license, total value $404, stolen Thursday from 1212 Kelli Drive

• Laptop computer, 56 Tramadol and 56 Xanax, total value $522, stolen Wednesday from 608 S. Jefferson St.

• Four Nintendo DSi valued at $400 stolen Friday at Walmart at 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Samsung brand Behold cellular telephone valued at $400 stolen Friday at Cowart Elementary School at 1701 W. Hobbs St.

• Copper tubing and pipes valued at $1,050 stolen Saturday from 1111 Juniper Circle

• Two windows and a back door of a Dodge Ram damaged in break-in between Thursday and Saturday at Alabama 251 and Lindsay Lane

• $500 cash stolen Friday from U.S. 31 and Strain Road

• Dresser drawer valued at $25 stolen Friday or Saturday at 1118 E. Pryor St.

• $348 in cash stolen Saturday from Walmart

• Tires of Ford Fusion, car hood and truck lid, total value $1,400, damaged due to criminal mischief Saturday at 606 U.S. 31 South

• Mexico matriculla consular ID card, wallet, $5 in cash, savings-account card and miscellaneous papers, total value $13, stolen Wednesday at La Fuente at 1420 N. Jefferson St.

• Apple brand iPhone cellular telephone valued at $600 stolen Saturday at Radio Shack at 926 U.S. 72 East

• Seven gallons of kerosene valued at $20 stolen Saturday or Sunday from 815 Westmoreland Ave.

• Air compressor valued at $700 stolen between Thursday and Saturday from vehicle on Alabama 251 and Lindsay Lane



Wrecks

• Lois Evans, 41, of Bessemer was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 5:45 a.m. Monday on Interstate 65 at the 340 mile marker, 10 miles south of Athens, according to state troopers. She was wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.

• Julie Ann Billions, 18, of Athens was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday at 8:28 a.m. on Sanderfer Road at Jefferson Street, according to Athens Police.

• Patricia Ann Tallman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 11:58 a.m. Friday on U.S. 31 at Elm Street, according to Athens Police.

• Sedale Marquez Bailey, 16, of Athens was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:39 p.m. Friday on U.S. 72 between Grace Avenue and Coleman Street, according to Athens Police.

• Donna Lynn Marlow, 50, of Athens was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 11:53 p.m. on U.S. 72 at U.S. 31, according to Athens Police.



Hospital report

Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions or discharges Monday.
