Charli Nichole Davis of New Market and Michael T. Smith of Athens were married in a 3 p.m. ceremony Sept. 19, 2009, at Union Grove Baptist Church with Paul Little officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Pete and Teresa Davis of Hazel Green. Her grandparents are Bobby and Linda Davis of New Market and the late Josephine Cantrell.

The groom is the son of Tommy and Marlene Smith of Athens. His grandparents are Rebecca Smith of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., the late Richard and Florine Lietz of Hapeville, Ga., and the late Dewey L. Smith of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Jana Arrington. Bridal attendants were Miranda David and Erika Wright. The flower girl was Addison Meeks, cousin of the bride.

Tommy Smith served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Coley and Kevin White, and ushers were David Lones and Daniel Taylor. The ringbearer was Mason Jones, cousin of the groom.

Music was provided by Daniel Taylor. The guest register was kept by Amy Wall.

A reception followed the ceremony at the church fellowship hall. Servers were Becky Jones and Janice Cox. Wedding coordinator was Becky Jones, and decorator and caterer was Janice Cox.

The couple resides in Fayetteville, Tenn.
