Nina Michelle Buckelew of Athens and John Eric Harwell of Athens were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony Aug. 15, 2009, at Martinique on the Gulf in Gulf Shores with Neal Webster officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dale and Michelle Buckelew of Athens. Her grandparents are Ronald and Linda Boyd of Athens, and Tom and Betty Buckelew of Killen.

The groom is the son of Johnny and Jeannie Harwell of Trinity, and Debra and Andy Harvey of Ooltewah, Tenn. His grandparents are Robert and Opaline Powers of Athens, and the late Herman and Stella Harwell.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Maid of honor was Kristi Murphy. Bridal attendant was Stephanie Hudson. The flower girl was Mallory Roupe.

John Austin Harwell served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Murphy and Josh Hudson, and usher was Ethan Buckelew. The ringbearer was Leason Buckelew.

A reception followed the ceremony at The Martinique. Servers were Kelsey Peacock, Eunice Boyd and Nikki Peacock.

After a wedding trip to Gulf Shores, the couple returned home to Athens.
