Crook-Barley

Evelyn Rachel Crook of Birmingham and Joshua Britt Barley of Birmingham were married in a 7 p.m. ceremony June 20, 2009, at The Marengo House in Lowndesboro with the Rev. Barry Carpenter officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Richard Crook Jr. of Montgomery. Her grandparents are Mrs. Kenneth N. Murphree, Mrs. Charles Richard Crook, the late Kenneth N. Murphree, and the late Dr. Charles Richard Crook.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry P. Morris, and Mr. and Mrs. Hal Barley, all of Athens. His grandparents are Mrs. Reginald C. Britt, Mrs. Joann Hogan, Mrs. Rex Houston Elledge, the late Reginald C. Britt, the late Harold R. Barley, the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Morris, and the late Rex H. Elledge.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Robin Carol Crook. Bridal attendants were Cortnee Lane Alexander, Dr. Megan Morris, Jenny Price, Dana Mitchell Zaworski, Shelby Barley, Jessica Cain Murphy, and Amanda Solvason. Honoraries included Carolyn Elizabeth Fryer, Mandi Turner Howell, and Kimberly Brooke Price. Flower girls were Charlotte Elizabeth Rice, and Katherine Rice.

Groomsmen were Cale Abernathy, Carl Clark Jr., Casey Jones, Matt Kiser, Brock Barley, Capt. Adam Hodges, Jake Kiser, and Cole Willoughby.

Bellringers were Robert Michael Doyle III, James Evan Rice IV, and Charles Ridley Doyle. The ringbearer was Gus Crook.

Music was provided by Dana Mitchell Zaworsky, and William Casey.

A reception followed the ceremony at The Marengo House.

After a wedding trip to Pawley’s Island, S.C., and Charleston, S.C., the couple returned home to Birmingham.
