Regina Harrison

The funeral for Regina Gail Harrison, 44, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Mitch McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harrison died Friday, July 31, 2009, at her home.

She was born Aug. 17, 1964, in Athens. She was a member of the Baptist church. She worked many years at Hometown Grocery, and then she became a registered nurse and worked for Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Limestone County. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gail McMahan, and a brother, Ray McMahan Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Tracy Harrison of Athens; her son, Nathaniel James Harrison of Athens; her father, Morris Berzett of Athens; her daddy, Ray McMahan Sr. of Athens; three daughters, Christy Rene McKelvey, Natalie Elizabeth Harrison and BreeAnna Reigh McMahan, all of Athens; a brother, Tracey McMahan of Athens; three sisters, Terry Roberts and Lyn Eidson, both of Athens, and Sandy McMahan of Muscle Shoals; grandchildren, Peyton Gail Morell of Athens and Ryanne Peacock of Elba; and special friends, Pam Griggs, Dawna Christopher and Sonia Sharp.

Pallbearers will be Jeff VanHoozer, Chris Slaton, Dale Christopher, Anthony Pressnell, Steve Moore and Randy Vickers.

Honorary pallbearers will be member of the Athens Police Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
