Boyd Jackson of Athens has been named to the first semester headmaster’s list at the McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tenn.

To qualify for the headmaster’s list, a student must earn all As in regular courses and no grade lower than a B-plus in honors or advanced placement courses.

Boyd, the son of Joey and Margaret Ellen Jackson, also earned selection to the faculty recognition list.

McCallie, a college preparatory school for boys, is considered one of the nation’s top independent schools.
