Dispute over unpaid bills ends in murder

FALKVILLE, Ala. (AP) — A Falkville man was shot to death in a domestic dispute over unpaid bills. Morgan County Sheriff’s officials said the fracas Sunday afternoon resulted in the death 37-year-old R.W. Wilhite and the arrest of his sister.

According to Chief Deputy Mike Corley, 34-year-old Robbie Sue Orr, was charged with Wilhite’s murder. She posted a $15,000 bond and was released from the Morgan County Jail.

Corley said it appeared that Wilhite was not the intended target.

He said the family had a history of domestic disputes.
