OZARK, Ala. (AP) — A Dale County sheriff’s deputy has resigned after he was accused of viewing pornographic material on a squad car’s computer.

Sheriff Wally Olson confirmed that Mike Roskum turned in his resignation and admitted he viewed inappropriate material that was not related to his work.

Roskum is now employed by the Newton Police Department.

Police Chief John Beistline said Roskum was not charged with any wrongdoing and he is qualified to join the town’s police force.
