DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) — Two juveniles, ages 10 and 11, are in trouble for causing a firework-related fire that gutted a one-story house in Dothan.

Firefighters were called to the residence on Virginia twice on Wednesday to put out separate blazes.

Police accused the boys of setting off fireworks inside the home. Both were charged with arson and burglary.

Authorities said no one was injured. Firefighters said the house has extensive fire and smoke damage. The boys were placed in juvenile detention.

Dothan Fire Captain Chris Etheridge said the incident is one reason why fireworks are illegal in the city.
