Beloved wife of the late Alvin M. Johnson; dear mother of Alvin M. Johnson Jr. (Sue), James “LeRoy” Johnson (Dianna), and the late Michael T. Johnson.

Beloved mom to Michael T. Johnson Jr. (Liane) and three sons, Michael Lee, Joshua and Clay.

Beloved grandmother to Steve, Netta Sue, Tami, Cora, LeeAnn and seven other step-grandchildren.

Beloved great-grandmother to 21 great-grandchildren.

Peggy was known by many in the East Limestone region. She was a lunchroom attendant at East Limestone High School for more than 25 years and took great pride in all her students. She followed many of you through your school years, marriage, family and death.

My mother, my confidante, my best friend, I love you dearly. Please forgive me for all the times when I should have said, “I love you,” but I waited another day until I had no days left.

Graveside service will be at Bethel Cemetery, Highway 72 and Mooresville Road at 11 a.m. on March 5, 2008. Visitation was at McConnell Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. on March 4, 2008.
