It was upset night at the 2008 Limestone County Basketball Tournament as the No.-1 seed in both the boys and girls brackets lost.

In the girls bracket No.-5 seed Tanner defeated Elkmont 66-60. Elkmont led through most of the game, but the Lady Rattlers were able to pull ahead in the closing minutes.

In boys action, No.-4 seed West Limestone knocked off East Limestone 64-51. Leading 46-44 at the start of the fourth quarter, the Wildcats went on a 14-1 run to blow the game wide open.
