Curtis Harris
The funeral for Curtis Harris, 66, of Athens will be noon Thursday at Little Ezekiel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Thatch-Mann Cemetery with Peoples Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Peoples Funeral Home.
Mr. Harris died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at his home.
He had worked for the Eaton Corp. for 20 years and was an Army veteran, having served from 1963-69. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Harris, and his mother, Lucy Harris.
Survivors include a son, Keith Harris and wife Daffney of Decatur; a daughter, Rita Hill and husband Larry of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Carrington Hill and Christian Hill, both of Dayton, Ohio, and Devan Harris of Madison; three brothers, Melvin Harris of Buffalo, N.Y., James Harris of Tanner, and Robert Harris of Memphis, Tenn.; and three sisters, Katherine Rice of Athens, Leadie Mae Anderson of Tanner and Josephine Hudson of Chicago.
