The funeral for Brian Alexander Bocking, 28, of Decatur will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight, Oct. 2, at the funeral home.

Mr. Bocking died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, in Morgan County.

He was born Sept. 2, 1979, in Madison County. He was a student at Athens State University. A former golf professional at various country clubs, he attended Athens High School and graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Montgomery.

He is survived by his mother, Debra Marshall Alley of Decatur; his stepfather, A.D. Alley of Decatur; his father, James Bocking of Huntsville; his brother, Craig Bocking and wife Rachel of Franklin, Tenn., his niece, Anna Kate Bocking; his grandparents, Hermas and Ruth Jones of Athens; aunts; uncles; cousins; and Cooper.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
