Emma Lee Randolph

The funeral for Emma Lee Randolph, 88, of Elkmont will be 11 a.m. Monday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Oscar Edmonds officiating. Burial will be in Thatch and Mann Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Randolph died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at her home.



Stacy Abeyta Tucker

Stacy Abeyta Tucker, M.D., 42, of Scottsboro passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her family. She succumbed to primary central nervous system vasculitis following a lengthy and courageous battle.

Dr. Tucker was widely recognized by all who knew her as a caring wife, loving mother, and compassionate physician. In addition to caring for her patients, she enjoyed painting and spending time with her family at their farm in Dodd’s Cove.

Dr. Tucker was a 1983 graduate of Grissom High School. She received a Trustee Honor Scholarship to Converse College in Spartanburg, S.C., graduating in 1987. She attended Harvard University during the summer of 1985. She received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama in 1991. She completed the UAB Family Medicine Residency Program in Huntsville, where she received her specialty board certification in Family Medicine. She also received the award for Outstanding Resident in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Tucker served as the Medical Director of the Elkmont Health Clinic from 1994-99. She practiced family medicine at the Athens/Limestone Senior Health Center from 1999-2002, and with Dr. Bernice Craze in Grant in late 2002, prior to her illness.

Survivors include her husband, J. Patrick Tucker, M.D.; her daughter Madeline Marie and son John Patrick Tucker II of Scottsboro; her mother, Noelle Anderson and husband Glen of Huntsville; her father, Martin Abeyta of Athens; three sisters, Christine Binns and husband Martin, and Vanessa Colebaugh and husband James, all of Huntsville, and Melanie Stoner and husband John of Madison; her mother-in-law, Helen Tucker of Grant; her brother-in-law Ken Tucker and wife Leigh of Huntsville; three aunts, six cousins, and 14 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Grant Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Jude Catholic Church in Scottsboro. Burial will follow at Free Home Cemetery in Grant.
