Fannie Lou ‘Sis’ Carter
The funeral for Fannie Lou “Sis” Carter, 93, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Spry Funeral Home with Don Osborne and Hagan Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carter died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at Limestone Health Facility.
She was born Sept. 20, 1913, in Lauderdale County. She was a member of the West Rogersville Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She was also a former operator of the Corner Café in Rogersville.
She is survived by three sons, William Carter of Lewisburg, Pa., Robert David Carter of Hixson, Tenn., and C.B. Carter Jr. of Rogersville; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the West Rogersville Church of Christ.
Ashford Harold Christopher
Ashford Harold Christopher, 84, of Cullman, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at home. Funeral services were held Dec. 30 in Cullman.
Clyde Donald Graham
Clyde Donald Graham, 83, of Birmingham passed away at his home Sept. 13, 2006.
He was a member of the Methodist Church. Mr. Graham was a veteran of the Army Air Corp as a medic during World War II and served in the Pacific Theater.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Olive M. Graham. He is survived by two sons, Bobby Graham of N.C. and Tommy Graham of Florida; three daughters, Jean Ridinger and husband Steve of Athens, Pasty Bryant of Gardendale, Kay Owens and husband Clyde of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Capt. Jay Graham, Dawn Bryant, Joey Bryant and wife Renee, Greg Bryant, Misti Glover and husband Scotty, and Katie Ridinger; great grandchildren, Jackson Bryant, Owen Glover and Hannah, Allie and Kylie Graham; one brother, Harold Graham of Athens.
The funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at Elmwood Chapel in Birmingham. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.
Billy ‘Bill’ McLemore
Billy “Bill” McLemore 61, of Mountain View, Ark., and formerly of Athens, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at home. Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View will announce funeral services.
