Jackey Carrol Posey
The funeral for Jackey Carrol Posey, 52, of Elkmont, will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Terrell Pitts officiating. Burial will be in Hesters Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Posey died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mr. Posey was born on Dec. 22, 1954, to Robert Eldridge Posey and Lilly Inez Thompson Posey in Limestone County. He worked as a carpenter in the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Posey.
He is survived by his father, Robert Doll Posey of Anderson; one sister, Wanda Scott and her husband Stanley of Anderson; two brothers, Marty Posey, Johnny Posey and his wife Brenda, all of Elkmont; close-friend, Ann Dorsey; nephews, John Posey, Rob Posey, Ryan Posey, Braden Long; nieces, Tammy Clinard, Sonya Ferguson, Amanda Willard; great-nephews, Matthew Posey, Weston Clinard, Dillion Ferguson, Aaron Lovell ,Austen Willard, Evan Posey; great-nieces, Ashten Willard, Kalynn Clinard, Gracen Clinard; step-children, Darlene Wilson of Athens, Sonya Dabbs of Elkmont, JimBo Ferrell of Anderson; and former wife, Charlotte Posey.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hudson, JimBo Ferrell, Dillon Ferguson, Ryan Posey, Keith Vinson, and Brad Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Felix “Bubba” Randolph and Larry Southard.
Donald Adams Loveless
The funeral for Donald Adams Loveless, 87, of Elkmont, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Toney Wales officiating. Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Loveless died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mr. Loveless was born March 13, 1919, in Limestone County. He worked as a farmer and was a WWII Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hassie and Edna Loveless; one son Billy Joe Loveless; four brothers, Herbert Loveless, McAroy Loveless, Hassie I. Loveless, Malcolm Loveless; and three sisters, Christine Routon, Lucy Stanford, and Grace Delmar.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Mae Loveless of Elkmont; one son Donald Wayne Loveless and his wife Annette, of Elkmont; one grandchild, Donna Loveless Patterson and her husband Trevor of Athens; two great-grandchildren, Tori and Alli Patterson, both of Athens; one brother, Carl B. Loveless of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Evelyn Harper of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keith Loveless, Trevor Patterson, Joe Johnson, Tommy Austin, Larry Stanford, and Kenneth Robinson.
William Richard McCune
The funeral for William “Shorty” Richard McCune, 79, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with James Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Reunion Cemetery.
Mr. McCune died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Athens Limestone Hospital.
Margaret Ann Motes
The funeral for Margaret Ann (Curtis) Motes, 72, of Elkmont, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Spry Funeral Home with Pat Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in New Center Cemetery in Priceville at 1p.m. Monday.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Motes died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mrs. Motes was born July 20, 1934, in Morgan County. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Motes of Elkmont; two daughters, Loretta Motes Coleman of Athens, Holly Motes Clem of Elkmont; one son Jonathan Motes of Lester; one sister, Charlotte Mosher of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three brothers, Chester Curtis of Hillsboro, Gary Curtis of Athens, Randall Curtis of Colorado; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Freddie Motes, Shane Curtis, Clint Curtis, Stacey Curtis, Jeff Gates, Jason Grimes, and Ray Towery.
