Peggy Jane Bates

Funeral for Peggy Jane Bates, 68, of Austin Street, Ardmore, Tenn., will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in Ardmore, Ala., with Douglas Eubanks and Mark Nave officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bates died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Sunbridge Care Center.

Robert Caudle

Funeral for Robert Caudle will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Homer Lamar Moses Memorial Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Peppers officiating and Peoples Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery in Triana.

Mr. Caudle died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at home.

William Ausbon Fox

William Ausbon Fox crossed over into eternal life on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006. He was one of 11 children born to James Walker Fox and Hattie Lou (Watkins) Fox on Nov. 22, 1920.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ardell (Tupman) Fox and four brothers; Buford, Millard, Luther and Jim Ed; and five sisters, Clara Johnson, Cleo Clem, Lurene Jaeger, Margaret Norton Haney and Dorothy Knox.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda (Sturgeon) Fox of Madison; two sons, William Dale of Union, Ky., and Gary Lee of Athens; seven stepchildren, Linda McQueary of McComb, Miss., Robert Sturgeon Jr. of Dry Ridge, Ky., Albert Sturgeon of Union, Ky., James Sturgeon of Erlanger, Ky., Richard Sturgeon of Everett, Wash., Lawrence Sturgeon of Huntsville and Daryl Sturgeon of Granite Falls, Wash.; a brother, Paul Fox of Covington, Ky.; six grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Stith Funeral Home in Florence, Ky. A graveside service and burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Hebron, Ky.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Odyssey Hospice or Athens-Limestone Hospital.



Curtis Thomas Searcy

Graveside service for Curtis Thomas Searcy, 95, of 611 W. Market St., Athens, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Mike Moses officiating and Limestone Chapel Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenville. There will be no visitation.

Ms. Searcy died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Athens Convalescent Center.
