Mary Violia Harbin

Funeral for Mary Violia Harbin, 84, 2235 Sharp Road, Athens, will be at 11:30 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Roger Bowden officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Harbin died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

She was born Nov. 9, 1922, in Madison County to George Dewey Boyett and Emma C. Burdett Boyett. She was a member of The Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Harbin.

She is survived by six sons, George Bobby Harbin, Travis Harbin, Robert T. Harbin, Farron Harbin, Stevie Harbin and Cyrus Harbin, all of Athens; three daughters, Linda Pugh, Barbara Bright and Brenda Prater, all of Athens; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Tom Boyett of Hazel Green and Willie Lee Boyett of Huntsville; one sister, Lila Marie Schrimsher of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews.



Sidney Amos Hardison

The funeral for Sidney Amos Hardison, 99, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Don Osborne, Kasey Harbin, Scott Sandusky, Warren Glass and Robert Nance officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.

Mr. Hardison died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.



Cleo Frances Hargrove

The funeral for Cleo Frances Hargrove, 88, of Athens, who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at Sunbridge Care in Fayetteville, Tenn., will be announced by Spry Funeral Home.



Naomi Virginia McCurry

The funeral for Naomi Virginia McCurry, 78, of Lester, will be at 2 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Doug McCurry officiating. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery.

Mrs. McCurry died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at home.

She was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Limestone County. She was a member of the Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo McCurry, her son, Jeffery McCurry, her grandson, Timothy “Sambo” Wise, and her granddaughter, DeRhonda “Pee Wee” Long.

She is survived by two sons, Richard McCurry and Ronnie McCurry, both of Lester; seven daughters, Katherine Long of Anderson, Roberta Shickles of Decatur, Dimple Simkles of Hartselle, Sheila Glover of Muscle Shoals, Rosita Cobb of Athens, Marcheita Coleman of Athens and Mary Danley of Lexington; 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
