Holiday garbage collection

Athens: There will be no change in garbage pickup in Athens.

Limestone County: There will be no garbage pickup Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Garbage collection will run one day behind the normal schedule (collections typically done on Monday will be Tuesday, etc.) for Christmas week and the next week.

Public offices closings

Athens/Limestone: City and county offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 25 and Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 1.
