Silas Anderson
Funeral arrangements for Silas Wayne Anderson, 67, of Athens, will be announced by Spry Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at home.
Jo Ann Byars Andrews
The funeral for Jo Ann Byars Andrews, 75, of Athens will be 2 p.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home with the Rev. Cheryl Wagar officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Andrews died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at home. She was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Decatur to Thomas Fink Byars and Margaret Bell Gaines Byars. She was the owner of three Cricket by the Creek Ladies Apparel stores, which were established in 1974. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Beth Andrews King.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra Andrews Dannheisser and husband, David, of Atlanta; one grandson, Blaine Dannheisser of Athens, Ga.; one granddaughter, Kelsey King of Athens; one brother, David Byars of Decatur; one sister, Patsy Cassimus of Decatur; and her loving friend, Lisa Jones of Decatur.
Norman Royce Cox
The funeral for Norman Royce Cox, 85, of Athens will be 3 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home with Bobby Marks and Terry Lamar officiating.
Burial will be in Evans Cemetery.
Mr. Cox died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at Athens Convalescent Center. He was born May 21, 1921, in Tennessee. He was a member of Lebanon Community Church and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Cox of Elkmont; three sons, Norman Cox of Athens, Jimmy Cox of Anderson and Billy Cox of Lester; four daughters, Paulette Poss of Florida, Barbara Fitch of Gurley, Margaret Hardaway of Athens, and Faye Robertson of Goodsprings; 19 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
Larry Pettus and Gus Hargrove will be honorary pallbearers.
Ray Hutton
Funeral arrangements for Ray Hutton, 72, of Lake Alfred, Fla., will be announced by McConnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Hutton died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at Good Shepherd Hospital.
