Charles Lee ‘Shorty’ Burgett
Graveside service for Charles Lee “Shorty” Burgett, 52, of Green Street, Huntsville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore with Brother J.B. Dunn officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home.
Eunice Christine King
The funeral for Eunice Christine King, 74, of Athens, will be a 3 p.m. Dec. 16 at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Tim Keenum. Burial will be in Feilding Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. King died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Medical Center, East, in Birmingham.
Eunice Christine was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Limestone County, Alabama to Thomas Lee Taylor and Annie Sue Clark Taylor. She lived most of her life in the Athens area. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She loved being a homemaker and grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James Luther King; and two grandchildren, Gary and James Allen King.
She is survived by two sons, Ray King of Rogersville, Steve King of Athens; two daughters, Donna Hargrove and Shelia Johnson, both of Athens; one sister, Lucille Scroggins of Athens; 10 grandchildren, Donald King, Cleabron King, Jason Hargrove, Jonathon Johnson, David Johnson, Rose King, Carla Johnson, Glenda Johnson, Kaitlynn King, Adrianna King; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Clayton McCune
Funeral for Clayton McCune, 72, of Huntsville, and formerly of Rogersville, will be at noon Saturday, Dec. 16 at Rogersville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poplar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Limestone County. Visitation will be one hour before the service Saturday.
Mr. McCune died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at Brookshire Healthcare Facility.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Jonnie Bell McCune; two sisters, Ruth Lagrone and Mabeline Haggermaker, and one granddaughter, Bobbie Ann McCune.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Marie McCune of Huntsville; three daughters, Judy Parker of Rogersville, Joan Kelley of Zacary, La., and Angie McCune of Moulton; one son, Tommy McCune of Ardmore; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers, William, Jessie, Eugene and James McCune, all of Limestone County; one sister, Mary Patterson of Madison; his mother-in-law, Katie Marie Oliver of Huntsville and nieces and nephews.
Kamareya Levon Sanchez-Pope
Funeral for Kamareya Levon Sanchez-Pope, newborn, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McConnell Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at McConnell Funeral Home.
Kamareya died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.
