Richard D. Aderholt

The memorial service for Richard D. Aderholt, 61, of Athens, will be at 1 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Danny Aderholt officiating.

Mr. Aderholt died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at his residence.



Flora Parsley Haggard

Flora Parsley Haggard, 76, of Athens, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at home.

Arrangements will be announced later by Spry Funeral Home.



Melvin Pratt

The funeral for Melvin Pratt, 82, of Hartselle, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at McConnell Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Poole, Andrew Grant, and Shane Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Pratt died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Summerford Nursing Home.

Mr. Pratt was born Aug. 6, 1924, in Dearborn, Mich., to William Pratt and Mary Hillis Pratt. He was a member of Somerville Baptist Church and was a retired police officer from the Detroit Police Department after 25 years of service. He was an U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II serving as a bomber pilot and trainer.

Mr. Pratt was survived by his wife, Joy Poole Pratt of Hartselle; one daughter, Ingrid Arnold and her husband Rusty of Hartselle; two sons, Nathan Pratt and his wife Diane of Hartselle, and William Vershave and his wife Judy of Northville, Mich.; grandchildren, Rachel Creese, Bradley Gasparetto, Tammy Davis, Joey Gasparetto, Michael Pratt, Lauren Vershave, Lisa Vershave, and Lindsay Vershave; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Pratt, Andrew Pratt and Justin Creese.

Pallbearer will be Michael Pratt, Joey Gasparetto, Bradley Gasparetto, Rusty Arnold, Bill Bishop, and Jamie Homan.

Honorary pallbearer will be Andy Meyer.



David Williams

David Williams, 66, of Athens died, Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec 11, 2006, at Rogersville Funeral Home with Steve Romine officiating. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, James Throley and Willise Simmons Williams; a brother, Tommy Williams; and one sister, Patsy Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his son, Jay Williams and his wife Sandy; two daughters, Rhonda Williams, and Anna Shay Mann and her husband Greg, all of Athens; a grandson, Garret Mann; and three brothers, Ted, Pete and Duke Williams.
