Tigers win Ardmore Lions Club Thanksgiving Classic

ARDMORE – The Ardmore boys basketball team jumped out early on West Limestone and never let up to claim the Ardmore Lions Club Thanksgiving Classic championship Saturday night.

With a slim 27-26 lead at halftime, the Tigers went on a 19-9 run in the third period to pull away.

Ardmore (4-1) made 8 of 14 free throws, while knocking down four three-pointers in the win.

Duron Robinson led all scorers with 18 points for Ardmore. Matthew Clem scored 12 points, while Landon Curtis and Jake Stagner had seven points each.

Zane Campbell led West Limestone with 16 points. Cody Smith added 12 points for the Wildcats.

Ardmore begins area play Tuesday when the Tigers host Madison County at 7:30 p.m.
