Clements knocks off Hatton 76-61

HATTON – Clements boys basketball team had three players reach double digits in scoring as the Colts knocked off Hatton 76-61 Friday night.

Blake Moore led Clements (2-1) with 29 points. He also pulled down 11 rebounds.

Sean Bachelor scored 18 points for Clements and Josh Eaton added 17 points.

Darren Hand led all scorers with 30 points for Hatton. Steadman Rutherford added 10 points for the Hornets.



Lexington 59,

Clements 52 (2OT)

Clements made a run against Lexington in the fourth period to tie the score at 38 apiece, but the Golden Bears made a 12-5 run in the second overtime to pull away for a 59-52 win Friday.

Cody Arnold and O’Neal Vance led Clements with 15 points each.

Sean Bachelor added nine points for the Colts.

Adam Butler led all scorers with 27 points for Lexington. Tyler Thigpen added 14 points for the Golden Bears.

Clements plays again Tuesday at East Limestone.



Elkmont 71,

Ardmore 57

Elkmont won its second straight game by beating Ardmore at home Friday.

David Solomon – who made 19 of 23 free throws – led the Red Devils with 25 points. Brandon Solomon – David’s twin brother – followed with 11 points, while Tom Logan scored nine points and Cody Coffman scored nine points.



Varsity girls

Elkmont 68, Ardmore 64

Bailee Robinson led Elkmont with 25 points as the Lady Devils knocked of Ardmore (0-1) 68-64 to pick up their first win of the season.

Elkmont (1-1) led 41-26 at halftime and never looked back.

Amber Harwell scored 12 points for Elkmont, while Stephanie Bentley added 11 points.

Arika Boggs led Ardmore with 18 points. Jennifer Ratley added 17 points, while Shannon Fogg had 14 points.

Ardmore will host West Limestone Tuesday night. The varsity girls will play at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity boys.

The Tigers middle school boys team and junior varsity girls will host the Wildcats on Monday night. The first game is set to start at 6 p.m.
