Vann Buren Davis

Funeral for Vann Buren Davis, 88, of Seventh Street, Ardmore, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Glen Keenum and Carl Witty officiating. Burial will be in Hastings Cemetery in Ardmore.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis died at home Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006.



Doris Ann Kelley

Funeral for Doris Ann Kelley, 63, of Elkmont will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McConnell Funeral Home with Terry Howard officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Ms. Kelley died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.

She was born July 15, 1943, in Limestone County to Ernest Lee Kelley Jr. and Alma Wendell Bryant Kelley. She was a lifelong resident of Limestone County. She worked at Sarah Lee for 12 years and was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Theresa Kelley of Elkmont; three brothers, David Kelley of Mount Pleasant, Tenn., Nickey Kelley of Athens, Wayne Kelley of Toney; two sisters, Faye Thigpen Workman of Pulaski, Tenn., Dottie Crow of Prospect, Tenn., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dexter Crow, Bradley Wallace, Michael Thigpen, Titus Thigpen, Steve Kelley, Johnny Kelley and Bobby Hodges.



Betty June Thornton

Funeral for Betty June Thornton, 66, of Elkwood Section Road, Toney, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Rob Tripp officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Sunday.

Mrs. Thornton died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, in Huntsville Hospital.



Dennis Ray White

Funeral for Dennis Ray White, 49, of Athens, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Spry Funeral Home with Jeff May officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. White died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at his home.

He was born March 4, 1957, in Limestone County. He was a member of Oakland Church of Christ and co-owner of Diamond Tree Service.

He is survived by Beverly White; daughter, Emily Riley of Haysville, Kansas; sister Shelia White Romine of Athens and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sarah White and three brothers, Jerry, Winston and Lane White.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Lomax, Justine Romine, Wayne Rouse, David Nixon, Dennis Buckelew and Wesley Bivens.
