Doris Ann Collier
Mrs. Doris Ann Wilbanks Collier, 70, of Center Star, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at her home surrounded by family and friends.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home. Tim Hester will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bluewater Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 tonight.
Mrs. Collier was born and raised in Limestone County. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and was a faith member of Center Star Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents J.H. “Jack” and Lola Mae Holmes Wilbanks, and a brother, Charles Henry Wilbanks.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leon Collier; sons, Phil Collier and wife Donna Kay of Center Star, Jerry Collier and wife Melanie of Rogersville; granddaughter, Britney Whitaker and husband Eric of Rogersville; grandsons, Mitchell Collier of Center Star, Trevor Collier, Brant Collier, both of Rogersville; sisters, Ella Ruth Borden and husband James of Hartselle, Thelda Mires and husband Clyde of Athens; brothers, Aaron Wilbanks and wife Christine, Buford Wilbanks and wife Mavoline, Billy Ray Wilbanks and wife Mary Francis, all of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Hale, Michael Ferguson, Mike Jones, Twymine Collier, Richard Steen and Bernardo Acosto.
The family would like to thank Alacare Home Health and Hospice and nurses Brenda and Sandy. A very special thank you to Dwight and Millicent Newton, Short and Mary Ruth Collier and Margie Jones for your wonderful care.

Kenneth Gordon Maynard
Funeral for Kenneth Gordon Maynard, 76, of Athens, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Spry Funeral Home with Tim Rice officiating. Burial will be in Bottom Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p. m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Maynard died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006.
He was born March 29, 1930, in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a member of the VFW in Knoxville, Tenn., and an Army and Navy veteran.
He is survived by one son, Kenneth Maynard Jr. of Roselle, Ill.; three daughters, Sharon Larson of Boiling Springs, S.C., Janet Smalley of Athens, Sandy Pendley of Dunlap, Tenn.; one sister, Frances Taylor of Portage, Ind.; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one brother-in-law, Clarence Riggs of Knoxville, Tenn.
Pallbearers will be Lanny Smalley Sr., Lanny Smalley Jr., James Smalley, Jimmy Smith, Courtney Gray and Rick Filz.
Robert E. Morelli
Funeral for Robert E. Morelli, 73, of Huntsville, will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville with Louis Giardino officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Morelli died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006.
