Turnovers haunt West Limestone in 32-7 loss to Good Hope

GOOD HOPE – Turnovers turned out to be costly for West Limestone as the Wildcats fell to Good Hope 32-7 Friday night.
West Limestone was equal to Good Hope in almost every offensive category, but the Wildcats lost three fumbles and had an interception that the Raiders were able to turn into points.
Good Hope got on the board early in the first quarter when Derek Stanley scored on a 1-yard run. Justin Wise got in the endzone to complete the two-point conversion.
The Raiders scored again the in the first quarter when Justin Ray fought for a 1-yard touchdown run. Jamie Epperly made the extra point.
West Limestone scored its only touchdown in the second quarter when Wesley Hughes hit Palmer Askew on a 7-yard pass. Jeremy White made the extra point.
On the ensuing kick, Epperly returned the ball 79 yards for a touchdown. He made the extra point.
Caleb Nabers kicked a 17-yard field goal and Ray scored on a 32-yard run to round out the scoring for the Raiders.
Hughes completed 12 of 23 passes for 140 passing yards. The Wildcats had 227 yards of total offense. Good Hope had 253 yards of total offense.
