The News Courier will publish, free of charge, death notices including the name, age and city of residence of the deceased, date and place of death, and time and place of funeral service and visitation. Family members may express themselves in a eulogy, list survivors and give detailed biographical information about the deceased in a paid obituary. The News Courier will accept these paid items from the family, funeral directors or other individuals. Paid obituaries may include a photo at no extra charge. Rodney L. Browning

Rodney Lamar Browning, 58, of Athens died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.

Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce arrangements.



Billy Gene Cross

The funeral for Billy Gene Cross, 75, of Ardmore, will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Lynn Marshall and Tommy Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prospect, Tenn.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Cross died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at his residence.
