Alice Marie Moore

The funeral for Alice Marie Moore, 91, of Tanner will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Damon T. Batts officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at People’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moore died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at her home.



Georgia Lucille Vinson

The funeral for Georgia Lucille Vinson, 79, of Decatur, will be at 2 p.m. today at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur with Bert Wiggers officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.

Mrs. Vinson died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at her home.

She was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Athens to James and Mary Elizabeth Herd Roberts. She was a member of Beech Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by six daughters, Barbara V. Smith and husband Robert of Montevallo, Rita V. Smead and husband Brad of Decatur, Pam V. Smith and husband Curtis of Athens, Cindy V. Parker and husband John of Somerville, Vallerie V. Collins and husband Tony of Decatur, Jackie V. Dotson and husband Nathan of Decatur; two sons, Kenny Vinson and wife Della, Brian Keith Vinson, all of Decatur; 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Dale Vinson.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
