Fall colors

Josh Williams takes a walk Friday afternoon in the Beaty Historical District as leaves fall all around. With the cooler weather also comes beautiful fall colors on the trees and surrounding ground. For a scenic tour amid the changing colors, simply head out Alabama 127 to Elkmont and take a walk along Rails to Trails. The trail runs north and south from the historic Elkmont Depot on eight miles of vacated railroad bed. If weather seems too cool for a walk, a drive on almost any Limestone County road will produce an array of red, gold and orange.
