Robert Allen Adams

The funeral for Robert Allen Adams, 79, of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Tim Keenum and Calvin Inman officiating and Limestone Chapel Funeral Home handling arrangements. Burial will be in Sardis Springs Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Mr. Adams died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at his home.

He was born July 6, 1927, in Athens. He was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church and retired from the City of Huntsville.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Wesley and Millie Adams; three brothers, Dewey Adams, J.W. Adams, Paul Wayne Adams; and two sisters, Elizabeth Sutton and Mattie Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Adams of Athens; one daughter, Pam Davis of Athens; one son, Terry Adams of Athens; one sister, Hazel Moran of Athens; one brother, Ollie Adams of Athens; three grandchildren, Mickie Brackeen of Athens, Brent Adams of Madison and Jeremy Davis of Athens; one great-grandchild, Matthew Logan Davis of North Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Davis, Marty Adams, Brent Adams, Glenn Usery, Dale Usery, Chris Brackeen, Kevin Adams and Curtis Usery. Honorary pallbearers will be A.J. Harris, Floyd Adams, Lloyd Adams, Calvert Sutton and Mickie Brackeen.

In lieu of flowers make donations to Hospice of Limestone County and Athens Kidney Association.



Pamela Brumbeloe

Pamela Green Brumbeloe, 43, of Anderson, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at her residence. No service is planned.



Clara Frances Cox

The funeral for Clara France Cox, 81, of Athens, will be at 1 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home with Cecil Norman officiating. Burial will be in Evans Cemetery.

Mrs. Cox died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at Limestone Health Facility.



Catherine Branum Lasseter

The funeral for Catherine Branum Lasseter, 76, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Midway Baptist Church with Gerome Hilliard officiating and Spry Funeral Home handling the arrangements. The body will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lasseter died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at Whitesburg Gardens Health Care.

She was born Feb. 21, 1930 in Limestone County. She served her beloved Lord as church secretary and organist at Midway Baptist Church where she was a member.

She is survived by one daughter, Janice Hulsey of New Market; three sons, Dan Lasseter of Atlanta, Ga., Paul Lasseter of East Limestone, Ricky Lasseter of Athens; one sister, Ann Craig of Owens Crossroads; one brother, Franklin Branum of Prattville; three grandchildren, Sara Black of Muscle Shoals, Matthew Hulsey of Huntsville, Christopher Hulsey of New Market; three nieces, one nephew and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Pallbearers will be Deacons of Midway Baptist Church and First Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice or Midway Baptist Church building fund.



John Mason Mallick

The funeral for John Mason Mallick, 79, of Toney will be at 11 a.m. today at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home with Carol Simon and Aaron Leatherbarrow officiating. Burial will be in Malone Cemetery in Ardmore, Tenn.

Mr. Mallick died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.



Leo McCurry

Leo McCurry, 84, of Lester, died Monday Oct. 23, 2006, at Sunbridge Nursing Home in Ardmore, Tenn. Arrangements will be announced by Spry Funeral Home.



Wanda Violet Sharp Sloan

The funeral for Wanda Violet Sharp Sloan, 73, of Decatur, will be at 2 p.m. today at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur with Truman Harris officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.

Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sloan died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital.

She was born March 7, 1933, in Morgan County to Shefton O’Neal and Crucie Irene Williams Sharp.

She is survived by her husband, Jessie Sloan of Decatur; one daughter, Twyla Anne Sloan of Decatur; one son, Clayton Dawson Sloan and wife Tina of Athens; three sisters, Shirley Galyean and husband Pat of Priceville, Helen Miller of Decatur, Brenda Page and husband David of Tanner; four grandchildren, Jonathon Ryan McLachalan of Anniston, Jennifer Hill, Sean McLachalan and Kevin, all of Decatur.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mahala Kaye McLachalan and Melia Jill Sloan.

She was a member of Community South Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Stan Martin, Mason Miller, Bryce McCreless, Monte Miller, Grant Miller and Neal Flum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community South Church of God or HGA Home Health of Decatur.
