An Elkmont woman, Judy Anderson, 51, of 28649 Upper Bethel Road, was killed Wednesday night when she apparently drove into the path of another vehicle in Madison County, according to state trooper Curtis Summerville of the Huntsville post.

Summerville said Anderson drove her 1994 Saturn from McKee Road onto Old Railroad Bed Road into the path of a 1981 Ford pickup driven by Gerald Wales, 35, of Toney.

Summerville said Anderson, who was alone in her vehicle, died at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and Wales was not injured.

Anderson was the wife of Albert Anderson.
