Alfred Eugene Goode

The funeral for Alfred Eugene Goode, 77, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home with James Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.

Mr. Goode died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at his home.

He was born June 6, 1929, in Limestone County. He was the owner and operator of Goode’s Service Station for many years.

He is survived by special friend, Jeanne Nash of Athens, one sister, Dorothy M. Turner of Athens and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jonas Goode, mother, Ruby Lee Miller Goode; three brothers, Charles O. “Mutt” Goode, Edward D. “Babe” Goode, Bobby W. Goode; and one sister, Bessie D. Garner.

Pallbearers will be Marty Ledlow, Stanley Turner, Justin Adams, Zach Schrimsher, Jamie Ridinger Sr., David Adams and Billy Penley Jr.



Virginia Lee Martin

Virginia Lee Martin, 79, of Athens, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Arrangements will be announced later by Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.



Ethel Mae Miller

The funeral for Ethel Mae Miller, 86, of Ardmore, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home with Roger Jackson officiating and a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Blanche Cemetery in Blanche, Tenn.

Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Miller died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.





Cecil Charles Perryman

The funeral for Cecil Charles Perryman, 80, of Gurley, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville with the Rev. Roland Lee officiating. Interment will be in Cameron Cemetery in Gurley.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Perryman died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at a local health care facility.
