Dustin Lee Goodwin

The funeral for Dustin Lee “Duck” Goodwin, 24, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home with Don Osborne and Rodney Britton officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Goodwin died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at his home.

He was born Jan. 20, 1982, in Limestone County. He was an auto body repairman and a graduate of West Limestone High School.

He is survived by his father, Bobby Goodwin of Athens; mother, Dixie Meadows Goodwin of Athens; one son, Dylan James Michael Goodwin of Athens; grandmother, Elizabeth Meadows of Athens and one nephew, Austin Goodwin.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Totter Goodwin.

Pallbearers will be Chris Craig, Billy Seabort, Carry Moe Evans, Chris Southard, Cory Mitchell and Patrick Meadows.



Franklin R. McLemore

The funeral for Franklin Roosevelt McLemore, 64, of Elkmont, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Spry Funeral Home with Dwight Raburn officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. McLemore died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.

He was born Jan. 18, 1942, in Limestone County. He was a retired television and radio technician.

He is survived by one son, Donald McLemore of Elkmont; one daughter, Dana McGuire of Madison; mother, Rosie McLemore of Madison; half-brother, Richard J. Martin of Hendersonville, N.C.; half-sister, Pearlene Trania of Boston, Mass.; one sister, Brenda Tate of Coldwater, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Kayla McLemore, Krystal McLemore, both of Elkmont, Joshua McGuire, Michael McGuire, both of Madison.



Arthur W. Summers Jr.

The funeral for Arthur William Summers Jr., 72, of Athens, will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Spry Funeral Home with Kevin Harbin officiating. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Summers died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at his home.

He was born March 12, 1934, in Arkansas. He was retired from General Motors. He was a United States Army veteran and an avid wood worker.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Summers of Athens; two sons, Neil Jeffery Summers of Flint, Mich., Shawn Summers of Athens; three daughters, LaTisha Kay Lounsbury of Ann Harbor, Mich., Beverly Jean Cotten of Eldon, Mo., Lauri Lee Ketcherside of Barnett, Mo.; four stepsons, Rick Jordan of Athens, Raymond Jordan of Florence, Rexford Jordan, Rocky Jordon, both of Cullman, two step-daughters, Robin Fortner of Cullman, Lisa Maxwell of Eva; one brother, Charges Summers of Muscle Shoals; one sister, Betty Jo Harp of Morehouse, Mo.; 29 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
