East Limestone runs all over East Lawrence

CADDO — Despite a slow start, East Limestone (3-1,3-0) was able to find its offensive momentum enroute to a 34-6 win at East Lawrence (0-4,0-3) Friday night.
The No. 10 ranked Indians took the lead in the second quarter when quarterback Chad Dewitt scored on a 15-yard touchdown run. Gill Johnson’s extra point was good.
Dewitt got East Limestone on the board again early in the third quarter when he hit Jonathan Pinque for a 38-yard touchdown pass. Johnson made the extra point to give East Limestone a 14-0 lead.
Dewitt hit Derrick Malone on a 24-yard touchdown pass late in the third quarter to put the Indians on the board again. Johnson’s extra point was good.
East Lawrence, which has lost 24 straight games, prevented a shutout in the third quarter by scoring a rushing touchdown. The extra point attempt was no good.
The Indians struck back when Pinque scored on a 4-yard touchdown run. Johnson missed the extra point.
Derrick Malone scored late in the fourth quarter on a 2-yard run. Johnson’s extra point was good.
Chad Dewitt led East Limestone offensively with 102 yards rushing on eight carries. He had 149 yards passing with two interceptions.
Pinque rushed for 81 yards on 10 carries with a touchdown.
