Ardmore police have arrested a 22-year-old Ardmore man on charges of rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after the man admitted to having a sexual affair with a 14-year-old girl.

In addition, police have charged the girl’s mother for allowing the man to live with the two knowing they were involved sexually.

Eugene Alan Adams, of 29330 Lakeview Dr., Ardmore, was arrested on charges of second-degree rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The girl’s mother, Melissa Kyle, 35, who lives at the same address, was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

“He said he had been sleeping with the 14-year-old for two months,” said Ardmore policeman David Posey who made the arrests. “It was all consensual, but it is a crime because of the girl’s age.”

Posey said police received a complaint about what was happening inside the home and started an investigation. He said the arrests were made Saturday night.

“They all were living together in the same house,” said Posey. “It had been going on for weeks.”
