Deborah Kaye Simmons

The funeral for Deborah Kaye Simmons, 53, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Eddie Littrell, Jeremy Paschall and Carl Witty officiating. Burial will be in Reunion Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Simmons died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

She was born on July 26, 1953, to Elmer Oscar Simmons and Vera Mevarene Thornton Simmons in Milan, Tenn. She worked as a seamstress in a clothing manufacturing plant. She was a member of Sardis Springs Church of Christ.

She is survived by one son, Jason Christopher Looney and wife Paula of Eva; one daughter, Cassandra Dawn Wallace and husband Bill of Athens; two grandchildren, Ethan Walden Looney and Anna Grace Looney; her parents; three sisters, Nina Charlene Schrimsher of Athens, Rhonda Joyce Moore and husband Larry of Athens, Rita Jane Metz of Athens; one brother, Eddie Simmons and wife Patricia of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.



Santos Pablo Lares

A rosary ceremony for Santos Pablo Lares, 26, of Athens, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Father John officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Lares died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006.
