David Harold Mitchell

A graveside service for David Harold Mitchell, 70, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. today at Myers Cemetery with Bob Waldron and John Gibson officiating.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home.

Mr. Mitchell died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2006, at his home.

He was born July 12, 1936, in Limestone County. He was retired from Redstone Arsenal and most recently employed at Teledyne Brown. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Doris Mitchell of Athens; one daughter, Kathy Mitchell of Athens; mother-in-law, Madeline Patterson of Decatur; three brothers, Dwight Mitchell of Elkmont, Kenneth Paul Mitchell of Hartselle, Steve Mitchell of Elkmont and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
